Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Recording Experience Gift Vouchers purchased from
www.recording.gifts and associated websites (including Pop Star Parties and all variants such as
Singer, Player, Band, Songwriter, Drummer, or Producer experiences). From this point forward these will be
referred to collectively as the “Recording Session”.

By purchasing or redeeming a Recording Session you agree to the following:

1) Recording Sessions

Sessions are based on an approximate guideline of one hour per song (maximum 4 minutes in length).
For example, a Singer Silver includes 1 song (1 hour), Gold includes 2 songs (2 hours), and Platinum includes
3 songs (3 hours). We usually record two takes of each performance, then combine the best sections during
mixing and mastering. Additional takes may reduce the total number of songs that can be completed in the
time booked. Longer songs may also reduce the number of songs possible within your session.
Please bring printed lyric sheets in a large, easy-to-read font (legible at about 2 feet). Failure to do so
may cause delays. Alternatively, you can display lyrics on your own mobile or tablet device.
We cannot display karaoke-style lyrics on screen.
You are welcome to bring your own backing track(s) on USB stick or CD. We cannot remove vocals from
commercial tracks, so your backing tracks must be supplied as instrumental versions.
For duets, we may use two separate microphones, so please bring two copies of your lyrics.
Please rehearse thoroughly before your session for the best results.

2) Music & Video

We are licensed by MCPS for copyright control and use only professional-quality backing tracks.
Any recordings or videos provided are for personal use only and must not be duplicated, shared,
or used for commercial purposes.
If you purchase video with your Recording Session, your performance will be uploaded to a
private Vimeo link. The video will also be attached to your personal Web Music Page
(created after your experience), where your recorded songs are hosted.

3) Validity

All Recording Sessions are valid for 24 months (2 years) from the date of purchase.
Sessions must be redeemed (i.e., booked) before the expiry date shown on your voucher.
Our online booking system may offer a short grace period for last-minute bookings made before expiry,
but once expired the voucher is no longer valid.
Expired vouchers may be reinstated for a further fixed period (e.g., 3 or 6 months) at a proportional cost
of the current retail price. Once reinstated, the validity ends on the day of the booked session. If you cancel
a reinstated session, you may need to reinstate again before rebooking.
Recording Sessions are non-transferable without prior written agreement (see Section 8).

4) Upgrades

A Recording Session can be upgraded online to a different experience type. Processing may take up to
24 hours. If your upgrade cannot be fitted into your existing booking, we will offer an alternative date.
Upgrading does not extend the original expiry date (see Section 3).
Sessions cannot be downgraded, and partial refunds are not available after 28 days from purchase
(see Section 5).

5) Refunds, Sickness & Cancellations

As our gift vouchers are personalised with a message chosen by the purchaser and created uniquely
for each customer, they are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, we offer our own goodwill refund policy: refunds are available within 28 days of purchase,
provided no booking has been made or session undertaken. An administration charge of 25% (up to a maximum of £39)
will be deducted to cover production and processing costs. Refunds are made to the original purchaser’s card.
A refund immediately invalidates the voucher.
If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of your booking, a rebooking fee will apply (minimum £20
plus 25% of the current retail price). Last-minute cancellations must be phoned through to
07833 843103. As this is a busy recording studio, calls may not always be answered — in this case you
must leave a voicemail with your full name and booking details for your cancellation to be valid.
Emails are not accepted for last-minute cancellations.
Non-attendance at a scheduled session, without notifying us in advance, will permanently invalidate your
voucher. This means your voucher cannot be reinstated, refunded, or rebooked.
To reschedule, log in to www.recording.gifts/book. Rescheduling is not permitted
within 48 hours of your booking.
Cancelling a booking after your voucher has expired requires reinstatement before a new booking can
be made (see Section 3).
Rescheduling by phone may incur an additional admin charge of 25% of the current retail price (up to £39).
This charge does not include upgrades (see Section 4), extensions (see Section 3), or reinstatements of
expired sessions (see Section 3).
Online rescheduling is free of charge, provided it is done more than 48 hours before your booking and
within the original validity period.

6) Force Majeure

Sessions may be cancelled due to events beyond our control, including (but not limited to) fire, flood,
epidemic/pandemic, strike, power failure, or technical/network issues. In such cases, we will work with you
to reschedule your booking but are not obliged to provide a refund (see Section 5a).

7) Bookings

Sessions are subject to availability. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred date.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This ensures you are settled and ready to
begin on time. Sessions cannot overrun, and late arrivals may have reduced recording time. In extreme
cases, late arrivals may be turned away.
We reserve the right to change the studio location at any time. Customers with existing bookings will be
notified.
Our current location is:
Audio Sorcery, Unit 1, Knowle Farm Business Centre, Wadhurst Road, Frant, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN3 9EJ.
Please allow plenty of travel time. Tunbridge Wells traffic is often congested. We recommend using the
Waze sat nav app (search “Audio Sorcery”). Free parking is available.
We may occasionally reschedule bookings. In such cases, an alternative date will be offered, but we cannot
cover travel or accommodation costs (see Section 6).
Bookings are confirmed automatically by email and SMS text message (providing we have the correct
details in our live booking system). A confirmation is proof of a valid booking.
Reminder messages are also sent by email and SMS (normally around 4 days before your session).
Please ensure our messages are not filtered as spam or blocked by your phone provider. We cannot be
held responsible if you fail to attend due to missed reminders.

8) Transfer of Ownership

A voucher may only be transferred with prior written consent from recording.gifts.
The new owner must present the original voucher and written confirmation of transfer.
Buyers from third-party sites (e.g., eBay) are responsible for ensuring the voucher is valid and unused.

9) Age & Behaviour

We reserve the right to terminate any session immediately if behaviour causes concern to staff. No refunds
will be given.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

10) Confidentiality & Privacy

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal details are used only for booking
and delivering Recording Sessions. We never sell your information to third parties.

11) Promotion Codes

Promo codes apply only to new purchases and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Each code has an expiry date after which it is invalid.
Only one code may be used per purchase.
Promo codes may be shared unless specifically issued as personal codes.
Promo codes may be used alongside other in-site offers (e.g., seasonal expiry extensions).

12) Copyright Infringement

If you publicly share your recordings or videos containing copyrighted works, you may be liable for copyright
infringement. Audio Sorcery / recording.gifts cannot accept responsibility for how you use your recordings
